Another 4-H Community Service
Our 4-H Club helped to plant a garden at the Billy V. Hall Senior Activity Center in Gravette, Arkansas. Club volunteers showed up on around noon on a Saturday and finished up by 4 p.m. The kids and parents helped to dig and plant, wet newspapers to put down on top of the plants to help in moisture before laying straw on top, and of course gave the garden a good drink of water when all was done. A senior woman came and helped plant flowers at the front of the garden. I'll post more pics of the garden as it progressed in another post.

4-H Community Service
This month our 4-H Club prepared a meal at a Salvation Army Shelter. My daughter's two older boys, Ethan and Therrin, helped with mixing tea, preparing garlic bread, making salad, as well as serving. They really enjoyed it and so did I. Our group is hoping to do it again a couple more times this year.
Hats & More Hats
Sorry to be away so long...you know how it is, life sometimes just gets in the way of all the fun stuff. Here are a few pictures of some hats I made in the past couple of months. Most were gifts as you can see by my daughter and grandkids modeling theirs. The others I sold to friends and co-workers. I love making hats because they can be so versatile and fun, not to mention they don't take long to make.
